Ethanol Biofeul: Cheaper and More Environment-Friendly Way to Travel

Published by Author at 2:45 am under Ethanol

It is time of economic crisis, it is imperative that we find other sources of fuel other than that traditional gas pump around the corner. If you are one of those people who are feeling the pinch of the rising cost of gas, you better switch to ethanol biofuel and save some money. Just make sure that use ethanol biofuel that is compatible with the engine of your car or your car will quit on you. No, you cannot just use any fuel on your car. Remember that different models of cars take different types of fuels. If you can is made to run on gasoline, do not even think about loading it with diesel or else you will be in great trouble.

What Is So Good About Ethanol Biofuel?

Ethanol biofuel is cheaper compared to the regular gas. If you want to save some money, you can use high density ethanol for your car, truck, boat or motorcycle. You can also use biofuel as additive to your regular diesel fuel. The good thing about mixing ethanol biofuel into your regular diesel fuel is that you get to extend the life of your fuel. Moreover, biofeul facilitates cleaner burn so your engine will not really suffer much. In fact, many experts believe that since ethanol biofuel do not leave any residues inside your car it actually can help clear the engine of your car.

Another good reason why you should use ethanol biofuel is that is biodegradable and non-toxic. This means that when you load biofuel into your car, truck, boat, motorcycle and the likes, you do not emit heavy pollutants into the environment. By reducing the amount of pollutants that you emit into the air when you drive around town or ride your boat at sea, you help protect the planet. Now that is really very cool!

Is It True That Ethanol Production Can Threaten Food Supply?

There is really no categorical answer to this question yet. Some experts believe that turning corn, sunflower seeds, sugarcane and other plants into biofuel can affect the supply of food around the world but we cannot ignore the fact that there are so many idle lands around the globe that can be used to produce food. If you really take a more pragmatic look at things, there is still room for food production and ethanol biofuel production. It is just a matter of using available lands properly. If we can create a balance between food production and biofuel production, then there is no reason why the food supplies will be affected.
